Vintage Baseball is a Hit

Vintage base ball (yes, it was two words in the 19th Century) is a loose term for baseball played by the rules, in the uniforms, and with the philosophy of the 1800’s.

Delaware County is home to three vintage base ball teams, all with rich and storied histories and a passion for the game. These teams make up the Delaware County Vintage Base Ball Association and include Mountain Athletic Club in Fleischmanns, the Bovina Dairymen and the Delhi Base Ball Club operating out of Hamden.

The teams of the Delaware County Vintage Base Ball Association are dedicated to producing historically-accurate and competitive nineteenth century base ball in a family friendly environment throughout Delaware County and the surrounding areas.

Ready to see a game? The season continues into October, so there still plenty of games coming up this year. You can view the schedule at the Delaware County Vintage Base Ball Association’s website. All games are free and everyone is welcome.
