Spotlight on The Hancock House Hotel

The Hancock House Hotel is located in downtown Hancock, a four-minute walk from the headwaters of the Delaware River, which is considered by many to be home of the best trout fishing in America. This new hotel is fashioned after the original Hancock House built in 1848 by James and Susan Faulkner, and is located two blocks east of the original location.

The hotel features thirty-two rooms with Mission-style decor that have Wi-Fi access, cable TV, writing desks and sitting areas; some provide balconies. The suites have kitchenettes and separate living rooms with pull-out sofas.

Honest Eddie’s Tap Room, named for former Chicago Black Sox player and Hancock native “Honest” Eddie Murphy, is located off the main reception area on the main floor. Also on the main floor, you will find The Maple Room Restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch everyday and dinner on Thursday through Saturday. The Maple Room is also available for large parties, meetings, weddings and other formal functions, seating up to 150 people with modern A/V equipment & expert consultation available.

Your hosts Lynn and Russell Bass are lifetime residents of Hancock and hope you enjoy your stay at the Hancock House Hotel and will avail yourselves of the local color both in and around the hotel.

Just a 5 minute walk out the front door of your hotel room are the headwaters of The Delaware River where you can enjoy what many anglers have called the “best trout fishing” in the United States.
