The Roxbury in Roxbury, New York

The Roxbury Motel in the Catskill Mountains is unlike any hotel you’ve seen before. With a key focus on design, many of its guest rooms are designed as odes to movies and TV shows from the ’60s and ’70s. In the sparkling emerald Wizard of Oz-themed room, you’ll find the Wicked Witch as a pillow of striped stockings and ruby slippers, Glinda the Good Witch is in a crystal light fixture above the dining table, and a Yellow Brick Road runs across the carpet and up the wall. Other room themes include Gilligan’s IslandAustin Powers, and The Addams Family, so guests have their pick of throwbacks.
