With our many lakes, reservoirs, rivers and streams, there’s a whole lot of fishing going on in the Great Western Catskills! Due to the abundance of bass, trout, perch, and many other species in our waterways, people come to us to experience world-class warmwater and coldwater fishing. Get on the water and spend a day on a cool mountain stream or lake casting for fish, and delight in the thrill of reeling in your bounty!

Get your license                                              

Fishing licenses can be purchased online, by phone or by visiting an agent location - find all about licenses here. To utilize the Cannonsville and Pepacton Reservoirs, you’ll also need a Watershed Recreation Access Permit.
