The northern Catskill Mountains provide the setting for the venerable Stamford Golf Club. Historic Mt. Utsayantha dominates the surrounding heights, with the trails of the adjacent Scotch Valley Ski Area visible in the distance. The views are sweeping and spectacular as the beauty of the countryside unfolds in all its glory with each season. The course is appealing to both experts and high handicappers alike. Rolling terrain and undulating greens add to the challenge that is uniquely Stamford. The greens are a challenge for even the best golfers. The clubhouse also affords a well equipped pro shop, locker rooms and showers. We have a driving range and practice putting green to help hone your game. Private golf lessons are available by appointment. A stop at the clubhouse for a cocktail, sandwich, or dinner provides the opportunity to relax and enjoy the magnificent view from the porch while watching players approach the amphitheater 18th green directly below. Stamford Golf Club is a semi-private club open to the public. We have special pricing packages for events as well as foursomes.
