Area attractions unite historic buildings and classic rural life with quirky cultural happenings and establishments that reflect the passions and personalities of their proprietors. Come to the Great Western Catskills to experience a classical concert in a barn; explore old cemeteries and historic school houses; or indulge in jazz at a historic church along a dirt back road. The list goes on with Civil War reenactments, vintage baseball games, arts workshops and programs, book readings with local authors, staged train robberies and gallery openings.
