Making maple syrup is a family tradition, three generations strong at Maplewood Farm and Orchard. Our Sugar Bushes are in Delaware County, New York, between the East and West branches of the Delaware River, in the Western Catskill Mountains. We work to bring you the finest Maple Syrup and syrup based foods. Once you've tasted our real Maple Syrup, you won't be satisfied with anything less!
Our Sap house is nestled in a small town in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. During the 70's and 80's syrup was made as a hobby and production on a larger scale started in 1991. We are very proud to again be producing Maple products utilizing the same sap bushes my Grandfather did in the 40's and 50's. (see picture below of Burton Reed's sap house) We currently have 3000 taps on vacuum and are working to increase that number.

Sherman Hill Farmstead has been creating exceptional goats’ milk cheeses for 23 years and cows’ milk cheeses for four years. Our farms’ milk produces fresh and aged cheeses available at our farm store, area stores, restaurants and three farmers’ markets.
Join the Warren family on an organic livestock farm and goat dairy/creamery in the Catskills and experience authentic country life. Guests enjoy a first floor suite in the 1863 Greek Revival farmhouse, which includes a guest bedroom with a double bed, private bath and library with a private entrance. After enjoying a bountiful farm breakfast, guests may opt to participate in a guided tour of the farm and lend a hand with farm chores.
Unplug and come stay in a luxurious platform tent on the Marsiglio’s working organic pasture-based farm. Each tent is fully outfitted with a wood cookstove, flush toilet, running water, solar lanterns, and all the kitchen utensils, pots and pans needed for cooking. Meet their beef herd, flock of sheep, pigs, chickens, dairy cow, livestock guard dogs, and farm cats. Green Shepherd Farm is an artisanal family-run business raising a growing flock of hardy Finnsheep on 50 sustainably–managed acres in Bovina, NY. Our farm is Animal Welfare Approved. This achievement underscores our commitment to good farming practices that improve the well-being of both the flock and environment. Lambs selected "for the table" receive no grain or medication at all unless it is vital to their health. We do not administer hormones of any kind.
We sell USDA inspected whole lamb processed to your specifications; fresh to retailers or for roasting at home, and as convenient frozen vacuum-packed cuts ready for your special recipe. A limited number of retail cuts and organs may be purchased at local stores or directly at the farm. The farm also sells lamb sheepskins, as well as apparel and furniture featuring them.
We offer tours and camping (through AirBnB) on the farm all year. Meet & Greet the flock with pistachio shells, pasture walks, and on-farm lamb sales. Special events include lambing in late winter to early spring and shearing in mid-winter.
From mid-May through mid-October area farmers and artisans gather to share their creativity and bounty at the Pakatakan Farmers’ Market. Located at the historic Round Barn on Route 30 Halcottsville (approximately 5 miles north of Arkville/Margaretville) the market runs Saturdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Spend the night or the weekend in our 1800s Carriage House on an organic farm in the Catskills. Enjoy healthy vegetarian/vegan/raw & live food breakfasts including fresh juices, green smoothies, sprouted breads, scrambled tofu or fresh organic eggs from our chickens. Ingredients used will be organic, from our garden or local farms when possible. RAW & LIVE FOOD.
